Part of the Shropshire Union Canal has collapsed and is in need of urgent repair. The Canal & River Trust have started an appeal to help with the restoration of this much-loved waterway.
This breach has effected a large section of the canal and has impacted on both private boaters and holiday makers as well as walkers and cyclists wanting to use the towpath. While this sort of event is extremely rare, they are very costly to repair.
Canal & River Trust have started an appeal to raise funds to help repair the breach.
